ABSTRACT

A “turn-on” fluorescence sensing platform towards Pb2+ with high selectivity and sensitivity was established by nitrogen-doped carbon dots. A suppressed photo-induced electron transfer (PET) was proposed for the sensing mechanism. This work can advance the development of nanomaterial-based sensors for in-situ detection of environmental samples.
