ABSTRACT
During the HMFOR process, the Mo component in NiMo alloy undergoes a dynamic process of oxidative dissolution and re-adsorption on the catalyst surface as MoO42‒, forming a unique interface structure with the reconstructed Ni3+. The synergy of MoO42‒ and Ni3+ enhances the adsorption and activation of HMF molecules, thereby boosting the oxidation of HMF to FDCA.
